Leo (he/him) joined Healthier Colorado in October 2021 as Digital Communications Specialist. Prior to becoming part of the team, Leo began his career at the Colorado State Capitol, where he served as a Legislative Intern to Representative Leslie Herod. During this time, he got to merge his passion for politics with his creative side by designing digital content, managing social media accounts, and creating communication plans that provided legislative information to the public in a comprehensible way.

His interest lies in helping Colorado’s diverse communities and underserved populations. He is hoping to contribute to this as part of Healthier Colorado’s passionate team. 

Leo grew up in Mexico City and moved to Colorado in 2019. He later earned his BS in Political Science and a minor in Marketing from Colorado State University-Pueblo. Nowadays, he lives in Denver and is excited to experience what the High Mile City has to offer.
