Alexis (she/her) serves as a Policy Manager at Healthier Colorado. She believes health care is a fundamental right and advocates for equitable access to high-quality, affordable care throughout the state. In her current role, Alexis leads Healthier Colorado’s mental and behavioral health agenda and supports a robust policy portfolio through analysis, coalition building, and advocacy.
Alexis graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Environmental Geography. She began her career at Healthier Colorado upon graduation. During her time at Healthier Colorado, Alexis has developed original research on environmental issues, physical and mental health, and the social determinants of health. She also served as a lead on COVID vaccine equity, lowering barriers to vaccination for thousands of Coloradans.
In her free time, Alexis takes pleasure in cooking picturesque meals for her food Instagram and often refrains that the “camera eats first.” Her favorite way to unwind is listening to a binge-worthy podcast while taking her dog, Peach, on a long walk.
