Micha (she/her) joined Healthier Colorado as the Community Director, for Colorado’s Health Capitol in October 2020. She brings more than 25 years of experience in leading office operations, administrative and project management, and client services. As the lead for operations and logistics, Micha has managed three successful startups and, in the minutia, and chaos of the process each presented, discovered a knack for building and improving business practices and company policies from the ground up. Her professional problem-solving style is one part Olivia Pope, one part MacGyver, one part Julie the Cruise Director – she can fix it, solve it or rebuild it, and at the end of the day, make sure everyone is happy and well served. Thinking outside the box and creative problem solving is her jam.
Twelve years in Transportation and Air Quality consulting provided an appreciation for mission-driven work and what it means to be an active participant in the world around her. She worked on Federal, State, Regional, and local government-funded programs to create and market alternative transportation and employee commuting benefits to reduce traffic congestion and pollution in the US, Canada, and Australia.
Micha is a fifth-generation Texan who lived in Colorado for 20 years before moving to Miami Beach to manage a startup. After five years in Florida, the humidity and lack of hoodie days made her long for seasons and straight hair, so she said good-bye to hurricane season and too many tourists, and now, along with her faithful pup, Ivy, lives the glorious, frizz-free Colorado life once more.
